Identify your cell lines with the AuthentiCell database
Authentication of cell lines is essential to ensure that you are not working with cell lines that are misidentified or cross contaminated. It is a fundamental part of good cell culture practice and is increasingly required to secure funding for research and for publication in scientific journals.
The new AuthentiCell database allows you to search for similarities between your cell line samples and the extensive number of human cell line Short Tandem Repeat (STR) profiles stored in the database. It is part of “AuthentiCell”, a family of services from the European Collection of Authenticated Cell Cultures (ECACC), which uses STR profiling to provide customers with effective cell line authentication.
You can now access and search our AuthentiCell database for accurate, reliable, and rapid human cell line authentication for scientists using STR profiling.
