Cell Line Description
Derived from a Malignant pleural effusion taken from an eight year old caucasian male with T cell lymphoblastic lymphoma. These cells are E-rosette, Leu 5, OKT9 and CALLA negative. They also express beta2M, Leu 1, 2, 3a, 4, 6, 9 and OKT10 antigens and are CD4 positive. These cells are negative for Tac, HLA-DR and surface immunoglobulin.Has chromosomal translocations involving the genes for the alpha and beta subunits of TCR thus preventing surface expression of the endogenous TCR complex.
