Incoterms

Incoterms are a set of internationally recognised 3-letter trade terms. They describe the practical arrangements for the delivery of goods from sellers to buyers and allocate the obligations, costs and risks between the 2 parties. They are produced by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and updated periodically to reflect changing trade practices.

There are several different INCOTERMS but the two which are most frequently used by Culture Collections are as follows.

DAP -Delivered at Place.  This means that Culture Collections agree to ship the goods door to door, but the customer (consignee) is responsible for payment of any import duties or taxes

Ex-Works – The customer is responsible for arranging all aspects of the transportation of the shipment. i.e. Collection from our cryostore, transport , freight, customs clearance, payment of all import duties and taxes, and delivery to the final destination.
